Well all good things must come to an end, and so it is with the Southern Delta Tour, PlanB's second international tour in as many years. It's been a whirlwind 3 weeks with the band spending 6 days in Vietnamese saxophonist Tran Manh Tuan's recording studio in the An Phu district of HCMC, playing 8 gigs in Phnom Penh & Saigon as well as shooting footage for 3 film clips to accompany upcoming releases during the next 12 months. Band members health deteriorated during the tour with Vietnamese female drummer Thao Tran filling in for the band's final 2 x sets at Pacharan during their inaugural performance in Saigon.
PlanB ended up recording 10 songs in the studio including one cover, appropriately titled 'Plan B' which was penned by Dexys Midnight Runners members, Kevin Rowland and 'Big' Jimmy Paterson
The band is now in post production phase for the new CD which is hoped to be ready for release mid way through 2011. Plans for the next 12 months include a possible tour to the UAE and the release of at least 2 new singles to follow up on their previous releases of "Call Me" & "Southern Delta."
